New Home Gym

I received my new home gym today, so after dismantling my old bench & storing it in the attic, I broke open the boxes for the new gym:

HomeGym 005

Looking at the number of parts in the mofo, I decided I had better organize the hardware prior to trying to assemble it…

HomeGym 006  HomeGym 007

The organization turned out to be a really good idea because the assembly had a million steps.  It would have sucked to go back & figure out where you screwed up in using a bolt 1/4 inch too long or short.

Here’s the finished product (normal position & storage position):

My Birthday

Although I don’t like to admit it, it is my birthday today.  It’s official – I’m one year away from 30!  I cannot believe it.  Right now I’m cool.  Guaranteed, 1 year from now I will be freaking out.  I wish I was a millionaire, so I could go out and buy a Lamborghini on my 30th to ease the pain.  Hey, maybe I’ll hit the lottery in the next year – I’ll make that my birthday wish.  One of these would do nicely:

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640   –  Top speed: 210 mph  /   0 to 62 mph in 3.4 secs

As a birthday gift, my Gators won today!

Even if they almost killed me with their nail biting end to the game.  They do that to me almost every game!  South Carolina gave them a run for their money today.  It wouldn’t have been an issue if the Gators field goal kicker didn’t SUCK.  It was pretty awesome to beat Spurrier’s new team in The Swamp though.

Espnzone

I also hit up ESPN Zone at the Inner Harbor in downtown Baltimore with my girlfriend & friend Bobby.  I got my game on in their arcade.  In the process, I almost knocked this lady out with a stray air hockey puck, but luckily it just grazed her ear & she was fine.  Other than that, I had an awesome time.  Despite the fact that I’m one year closer to 30, its been a pretty fantastic birthday.  I have to remind myself that the alternative to growing older is a bleak one, so 30, here I come.
